The annual Compton Park Music festival is fast approaching on August 23rd from 2pm to 7pm in Compton Park so be sure to mark your calendar. This is a free community-driven event where all are welcome that features live music, kids crafts and games, and face painting.
Volunteers are needed for putting up posters, distributing flyers, assisting in the crafts and flower crown making, help set up tents, signs and booths, and also with cleanup afterwards. Send an email to [email protected] if you are interested.
Programming begins at 9 am with yoga in the park and then returns at 2 pm for an amazing lineup of musicians:

- Mauricio Montecinos Latin Beat Band
- Chantal Thompson & Band

Plus pop-up performances from Canta Arya, Ruby Twigg, Maeve Burry and Kingston School of Dance!
For the Kids (all free):
- Face painting
- Flower-crown making
- Family games.

Free yoga class in the park at 9 am offered by Alana Hamelin with Sound Bath by Gav Session.
The event is rain or shine, so bring layers and options for sun or rain!
The festival is also looking for local business or individuals to offer support in the form of sponsorship. There will be a fundraiser at Daft Brewery on June 14th at 2pm 2026 to raise funds for the festival where there will be live music and a silent auction.
